When the case to ban abortion doesn’t work, the pro-lifers (oxymoron) have moved their energy toward how abortions are paid for. While vasectomies, male enhancements products, and sterilization is paid for with federal funds and insurance dollars, the conservative right would like us not to pay for the abortions of people who have made a health decision of equal importance. It is proposed that women who can’t afford to have another baby be asked to pay for an insurance rider to pay for their abortions. Women on Medicaid are being threatened with not having abortions paid for at all. The choice to have an abortion is not entered into lightly for most women. Why is the government making decisions about OUR bodies?
